Venue
The XXVI FSKA/FSKAW World Karate Championship will take place on 23–25 October, 2026 in Šiauliai,
Lithuania.
Organiser
The Championship is organised by the Lithuanian Karate Association (LKA), under the high patronage of FSKA
(Funakoshi Shotokan Karate Association) and FSKAW (Funakoshi Shotokan Karate Association World).
Partners
Šiauliai District Municipality, Pakruojis District Municipality and Šiauliai Arena Administration.
Arrival
Convenient access is available via the following international airports: Riga (Latvia) – 130 km, Kaunas
(Lithuania) – 140 km, and Vilnius (Lithuania) – 200 km. Upon request, the Organising Committee can assist in
arranging transportation for delegations from and to the airports. Please note: waiting time at the airport may be
required in order to join another arriving group.
Accommodation
For accommodation assistance, you can contact fskaworldchampionship2026.lt@gmail.com, and convenient
options will also be offered on Facebook and Instagram.
Meals
On 23, 24, and 25 October, catering services will be provided by the Šiauliai Arena café and will be available to
all participants. Judges and management / VIP guests will be provided with complimentary lunch and coffee.
Visas Information
All visa-related information is available at: https://keliauk.urm.lt/en . The Organising Committee is prepared to
assist each delegation. However, due to possible delays, visas may not be issued in time. Obtaining a visa is the
responsibility of each participant. The final deadline for issuing invitation letters for visa purposes is 30 August
2026.
Seminar
With Hanshi Kevin Funakoshi and Hanshi Kyle Funakoshi 15:00–17:00, 22 October 2026, Šiauliai Arena.

Dan Grading
Dan examinations with Hanshi Kevin Funakoshi and FSKAW Shihan Kai 17:15–18:30, 22 October 2026, Šiauliai
Arena. Participants interested in the Dan examination are kindly requested to contact Hanshi José Chagas.
Email: mestrekarate_kps@hotmail.com. All necessary information will be provided by email. Participation in
the seminar is mandatory for candidates applying for the Dan examination.
Official Closing Dinner
On Sunday evening at 20:30, the Organising Committee will host an official closing dinner (location will be
announced later). Distinguished guests Hanshi Kevin Funakoshi and Hanshi Kyle Funakoshi will attend the
dinner. A maximum of two representatives per delegation may participate free of charge.
